From The Desk Of Blossoms: Travel

British quintet Blossoms is unapologetically ambitious. Rather than quietly release 2014 debut single “Blow,” the band announced it with an ardent, online manifesto. “We want to be heard by everyone,” it read, in part. “We want to be as mainstream as Will Smith, as great as the Smiths, and as uplifting as Mr. Smith Goes To Washington.” The band has just issued its self-titled debut. Blossoms will also be guest editing magnetmagazine.com all week. Read our new feature on the band.

Josh Dewhurst: Traveling the world along side your closest friends and music has become a way of life for my band and me; discovering new passions, places and cultures effortlessly along the way. It’s like being a sponge, without the square pants—embracing the world and what it has to chuck at you! Sometimes it’s difficult to be fully absorbent, and given the nature of my travel, spending small bursts in each place. However, this means making the very most of every day in these amazing places … and the best part is the quests are never ending! It would take more than a lifetime to discover the world in its entirety, so we have to explore while we can!
