Sub Pop has announced the January 27 release of Sleater-Kinney’s new live album, Live In ParisThe Tourist is the fifth Clap Your Hands Say Yeah LP, due out February 24 … A new double-album compilation, I Said No Doctors!, is set for a January 18 release from Dymazion Groove. It features experimental tracks by Silver Apples, Dan Deacon, David Grubbs, Oval, Jad Fair and more … Jens Lekman’s Life Will See You Now will be out via Secretly Canadian on February 17 … On March 31, the 50th anniversary of the Doors’ self-titled debut will be honored with the release of a deluxe, three-disc set from Rhino, complete with remastered stereo and mono mixes and live recordings … Kill Rock Stars will issue an expanded 20th anniversary edition of the late Elliott Smith’s Either/Or on March 10 … “Sound And Vision,” David Bowie’s from 1977’s Low, turns 40 this year, and will be reissued on a limited-edition seven-inch picture disc on February 10 by Parlophone … Courtney Jaye and Rogue Wave’s Zach Rogue have teamed up to form Rogue + Jaye, and have announced their full-length debut, Pent Up, to be released April 8 … Boss Hog will release its first new album in 17 years, Brood X, on March 24 on In The Red … January 13 will see the release of the soundtrack to Jim Jarmusch’s documentary about the Stooges, Gimme Danger, on Rhino … Rhino is also ringing in 2017 with its second installment of “Start Your Ear Off Right,” with exclusive releases from the Cars, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, the Replacements, the Stooges, Madonna and more … Live At The Barn is the new record from the Wood Brothers, featuring the band’s 2016 performance at Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, due out from Honey Jar/Thirty Tigers on January 13 … A compilation of the complete studio recordings by the Creation has been put together for the first time by Numero Group. The two-disc set, Action Painting, will be available March 17 … Devendra Banhart, Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh), Rob Crow (Pinback, Goblin Cock), Kelley Deal (Breeders), and many more will be 2017’s curators of Joyful Noise’s White Label Series, a monthly subscription series featuring undiscovered bands hand-picked by influential artists.
