Metallica has announced that it will reissue its first two LPs, Kill ‘Em All and Ride The Lightning, on April 15. Both albums have been remastered and will be available in multiple formats: CD, vinyl and deluxe boxed set, which will include never-before-heard or seen material … The Blind Spot EP is the first new music from Lush in 20 years, due out April 22 via the band’s Edamame label … Rhymesayers will issue Aesop Rock’s new album, The Impossible Kid, on April 29 … The 23rd studio album by Eric Clapton, I Still Do, is set for a May 20 release via Bushbranch/Surfdog … On April 22, Hudson Bell will release Yerba Buena, his first album in six years, on Thirty Tigers … The Feelies’ third and fourth albums, Only Life and Time For A Witness, will be reissued by Bar/None on March 11. As a special Record Store Day release, the band will also issue a limited-edition 12-inch of four cover songs, Feelies UncoveredPaging Mr. Proust, the new album from the Jayhawks, will be available April 29 … FSE/UMe will continue the worldwide centennial celebration of Frank Sinatra with the release of six classic Sinatra albums on 180-gram vinyl. Out now is Songs For Swingin’ Lovers!, with Ring-A-Ding Ding! and That’s Life to follow February 26. All The Way is due out April 15, and Sinatra-Basie: An Historic Musical First and Sinatra At The Sands will be out May 6 … The latest LP from John Doe, The Westerner, is set for an April 29 release via Cool Rock/Thirty Tigers … On April 1, three Anthony Braxton boxed sets—Trillium J (The Non-Unconfessionables), Quintet (Tristano) 2014 and 3 Compositions (EEMHM) 2011—will be simultaneously released by the Tri-Centric Foundation and Firehouse 12 … Mr. Lif’s new concept album, Don’t Look Down, will be available from Mello Music Group on April 15 … Volume, Contrast, Brilliance…Unreleased & Rare Vol. 2 is a collection of previously unissued tracks by the Monochrome Set spanning 1978 to 1991, due out April 1 from Tapete … Prototyp Recording & Bang ehf via Sena ehf will issue Starwalker’s self-titled debut album April 1 … The first-ever feature-length documentary about ZZ Top is currently in the works by Banger Films in association with Eagle Rock. The filmmakers are asking fans to send rare visual material to zzfans@bangerfilms.com with the subject “ZZ Top Fan Submission” … In anticipation of the Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson’s upcoming new solo album, Eagle Rock will release expanded versions of three albums: Paper, Llama Blues (due out February 26), Through A Crooked Sun and Woodstock Sessions (out April 15).
