“Headlights” is slow and twangy, but it’s absolutely not country music. It has a psychedelic twist and controlled exuberance that shows off why Night Moves is an interesting band to keep on your radar. Guitars and synth soar to cosmic heights, but the vocals somehow remain down to earth. If you like what you hear, you can check out Colored Emotions (Domino), Night Moves’ debut, out October 9.
