Permanent Collection makes pop music that’s both hazy and energetic. At times, the band’s songs can feel like “Like A Daydream,” a smoky shoegaze cover of the Ride song. “Like A Daydream” mirrors Permanent’s Collection’s other stylistic half as well when the frenetic guitar and rhythm kicks in when you don’t expect them.
