The Raveonettes’ new video for “She Owns The Streets,” off Observator (out September 11 via Vice), is rather straight forward. The chorus repeats, “She’s dancing in the streets,” over and over again, and the clip shows, well, some girl dancing in the streets. Who cares? No one, normally, but this video (directed by Peter Kaaden) draws you in with the enigmatically engaging performance of its lead actress, Loan Tran. Dancing her way through New York City, she flaunts her individuality on her sleeve, daring you to pin her down. She’s a regular Ramona Flowers, the girl you don’t understand but fall in love with nonetheless. Watch it below.
