For anyone who’s read up on Dent May, it’s pretty obvious what he’s talking about in “Home Groan.” He sings, “I don’t wanna move to Southern California/I wasn’t really L.A./And New York City just ain’t my style/So this town is where I guess I will stay.” Home-video clips with some trippy editing really drive the point home, which is May likes living in Oxford, Miss. “Home Groan” is off Do Things (Paw Tracks), his sophomore album, on which he ditched the ukulele for a synthesizer.
