Chandeliers is a band you might consider to be chillwave, if that didn’t sound trite. The quartet is composed of Chicago musicians seeking refuge in chilled-out tones and glossy waves of sound. On “New Times” and “Le Corsage,” off Founding Fathers (Captcha), it’s still pretty apparent that these are art-rock guys—art-rock guys who listen to Faust, Kraftwerk and probably ’80s R&B.
