Film At 11: Cass McCombs

In 2010, Private Bradley Manning was accused of orchestrating the largest leak of classified defense material in U.S. history. His arrest and subsequent trial inspired Cass McCombs to write a protest song for the soldier. “Bradley Manning” now has a poignant video accompaniment that was filmed in Manning’s hometown of Crescent, Okla. The clip is full of poignant small-town Americana imagery, and its potent political overtones perfectly match McComb’s message and haunting musical delivery. Check it out below.
