With a name like Lemonade, it’s near impossible not to conjure images of summer at the mention of this band. But with the June 5 release of its latest album, Diver (True Panther), Lemonade aligns itself with a different musical style, one that’s remarkably cold, measured, insular. On “Neptune,” Lemonade explores this vast sonic world. A simple, almost-insubstantial melody provides the monotonic backbone for the song, while symphonic synths and sparse drum beats create an enchanting ebb and flow.
