Gabriel & The Hounds is an appropriately named band for singer Gabriel Hounds. Besides his sense of humor, Hounds bring a certain heat to his latest single, “What Good Would That Do,” off the new Kiss Full of Teeth (Ernest Jenning). The song crawls along with ardent lyrical bitterness: “I wish I was like you/But what good would that do?” It’s beautifully arranged, with subtle drums and unexpected brass adding depth to Hounds’ quiet vocals.
