From the first sounds of “Little Talks,” Of Monsters And Men might seem like a ska band, a Kate Nash side project or some bizarre combination of the two. But this six-piece Icelandic group defies convention by effectively bringing together seemingly dissonant elements. Full of rousing horns and playful melodies, “Little Talks” shows the rich sonic landscapes that Of Monsters And Men is capable of creating. The song promises big things from the band’s debut album, My Head Is An Animal, out April 3 via Universal Republic.
