MAGNET is psyched to premiere the video for from-the-soul singer/songwriter Kayln Rock‘s “Alex The Great,” from debut album Passenger. “Alex The Great” tells a sweet and somehow universally nostalgic story of the search for love and like-mindedness, filmed in bits and pieces across the Northeast corner of the U.S. Rock hails from the small town of Hudson, N.Y., but began playing music while enrolled in a filmmaking course in Maine in 2008. “I think it was a creative domino effect of sorts,” she says. “If I hadn’t decided to branch out and study film that summer, I don’t think I would have found the confidence to express myself through songwriting.” Passenger is available on iTunes or through Rock’s website.
