Though music seems to be pushing ever more toward electronic beats and dubstep, every year sees a fresh crop of folk artists begin to rise from the dirt. This is the case with Little Silver, which has just released its new EP, The Stolen Souvenir (Record Park). The title track is a perfect example of the new generation of folk, featuring twanging acoustic guitar punctuated by carefully conducted vocal harmonies, all dripping in saccharine tranquility and longing. Indeed, Little Silver is quite reminiscent of Fleet Foxes or the Head And The Heart.
