Many innovative electronica-based artists have come out of the Nordic region, and Niki & The Dove is a musical project hailing from Sweden featuring Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf. The duo breaks down just about everything you thought was pop music with distinct, anthemic vocals alongside excitable and smooth electronic beats. Vancouver’s Blood Diamonds takes his hand at remixing the title track from The Drummer (Sub Pop), transforming the song into something more rhythmic and hip hop yet still paying homage to Dahlström’s belting voice.
