Though perhaps following the classic Indie–name formula (a la Neutral Milk Hotel), Dada Trash Collage (William Freed and Richard Bell) differentiates itself from similar groups in a great way. Collaborating with Bear Ears (Jessica Freed) Ambitious Out Of Control (Burn The Witch Collective), DTC has released the track “Crooked Teeth.” It’s a delightful foray into experimental pop and the human condition, growing a proper opus from the roots of Animal Collective-esque street drumming and piano melodies. While some stylistic similarity between DTC and Animal Collective definitely exists, DTC distinguishes itself with more focused lyrics and a haunting segment courtesy of Bear Ears.
