http://www.record-racks.com/?p=377 cool review of csc record about to drop

With members from groups as varied as USA Is A Monster and GWAR, a funk band focused heavily on shaking backsides isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. However, on tracks such as the opener, “Caneca,” you get just that. Each section of the band takes a turn at turning the groove up. Of course with any good funk number, a great bass line is probably at the core. Check. (For some reason, this track reminds me of something that Kings Go Forth would do.) Then we even get a short trombone solo… hallelujah! My favorite part of the song comes with the short break of silence where the band shouts the title and then just hammers right back in to setting the dance floor on fire.
