MP3 At 3PM: Lightouts

Any band that covers the Stone Roses is all right in our book, especially one who chooses a rare b-side from the quartet’s excellent second single, 1987’s “Sally Cinnamon.” Brooklyn-based Lightouts have done just that, offering up their take on “Here It Comes,” and the results are impressive. It appears as a b-side on the duo’s first single, “See Clear,” but you can download it below. If you aren’t familiar with the original, check it out after the jump. Lightouts are currently working on their debut album and plan to release more singles in the interim. Here’s hoping the duo covers some more great stuff as b-sides.
