Noah Lennox, also known as Panda Bear of Animal Collective fame, is emerging from a long hibernation after the release of Person Pitch in 2007 with Tomboy (due out April 12 on Paw Tracks). The songs on Tomboy are expansive and atmospheric, relying on Lennox’s distinctive vocals and cyclic melodies. Unlike on Person Pitch, the new album sees Lennox moving away from heavy sampling for a lighter if not less intricate sound.
