The Heart Is A Drum Machine is a documentary film directed by Ryan Page and Christopher Pomerenke (Blood Into Wine) that explores the relationship that humans have with music. Many rockers appear in the movie, including Steven Drozd (Flaming Lips), Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle), Brit Daniel (Spoon), Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), George Clinton, John Doe (X) and the Silversun Pickups. Drozd did the film’s score (out now on the Twinkle Cash Company label), which is composed of 11 instrumental originals and a cover of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” featuring Keenan on vocals.
