MP3 At 3PM: Richard Ashcroft

If you think the latest Richard Ashcroft single sounds familiar, that’s probably because you’ve already heard it. “Are You Ready?” is featured in Volkswagen’s recent Jetta commercial and had been in ads for the FIFA World Cup Finals and Fox’s broadcasts of the MLB playoffs. It will also serve as the closing-credits music for the upcoming Matt Damon/Emily Blunt movie The Adjustment Bureau, which also includes a new song written and performed for the film by Ashcroft and composer Thomas Newman. “Are You Ready?” is the first single from the 12-track The United Nations Of Sound, out March 8 via Razor & Tie and produced by No I.D. (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common).
