Glasser, Cameron Mesirow’s one-woman band, just released debut album Ring (True Panther Sounds). The LP, produced by Foreign Born bassist Ariel Rechtshaid (Taking Back Sunday, We Are Scientists) with some help from the Subliminal Kid and Van Rivers, fleshes out her previously sparse and minimal sound with woodwinds, strings and percussion. Mesirow’s voice is the real centerpiece here, however, a powerful, gorgeous instrument that elevates her songs into territory that is nothing short of sublime. Mesirow and band are currently on tour in Europe, but they will be back for a North American jaunt in November. In the mean time, download “Mirrorage” below.
