Film At 11: Dr. Dog

West Philly now has another legacy besides the Fresh Prince. Dr. Dog, the five-man indie group hailing from the City Of Brotherly Love, has emerged as something of a psych-rock phenomenon, touring cross-country with the likes of My Morning Jacket and appearing on the late-night talk-show circuit. The video for new single “Shadow People,” off of Shame, Shame (Anti-), features a crew of geriatrics in sequins busting out Nancy Kerrigan moves on roller skates as Dr. Dog co-frontman Toby Leaman busts out his best, pleasantly angsty Flaming Lips impersonation and the rest of the band centers on its jangly guitars and charming backup vocals.

My son, Toby sings the lead on numerous songs. However, Scott sings the lead in this video.
