Film At 11: Mice Parade

Re-arrange the letters in Mice Parade and you get Adam Pierce, the percussionist and bandleader who’s been putting together post-rock albums with far-flung collaborators since 1998. 2007’s Mice Parade featured guest vocalists Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab) and Kristin Valtisdottir (Múm), and the follow-up, the recently released What It Means To Be Left-Handed (FatCat), features members of Macha and HiM (veteran drummer Doug Scharin, also of Rex), along with vocalist Caroline Lufkin. The inventive rhythms and faerie-folk melodies all come together on “In Between Times.” Mice Parade is touring the northern U.S. and Canada in late September.
