Efren is the songwriting project of Scott Leon-O’Day, and it has taken many forms, but for the Always Been A Bleeder EP, he is joined by three friends. The EP is a follow-up to the band’s debut full-length, Thunder & Moan, and will be released August 17 via Slo Pro and is currently being supported by performances all over the Southeast, which happens to be Efren’s home territory. And the song “Stay High,” which you can download below, certainly has the heartbreaking folk sound that could only come out of Northern Georgia.
