Chicago’s Like Pioneers is a group of seven friends who were all members of different bands before teaming up late last year to make music together. The result of just a few weekends in December is the band’s debut full-length, Piecemeal, which will see the light of day August 17 via Abandoned Love Records. Premiering today on magnetmagazine.com is “Exit Row,” a cynical break-up song with solid vocal harmonies over a wall of lush, dreamy reverb.
