Film At 11: The Lost Patrol

New York trio the Lost Patrol has its roots based in film, with the band’s original intention to create instrumental soundtrack music after instrumentalist Stephen Masucci had his songs featured in several movies. The group has since made some changes, adding vocalist Mollie Israel for more of a singer/songwriter feel, but it hasn’t abandoned its origins. Israel, who inherited some filmmaking genes from her mother Amy Heckerling (Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Clueless), directed this very surreal, low-budget video for “Calling Your Own Name.” The song is off new album Dark Matter, which is out now.
