Easily Red Wanting Blue. Hardest working, nicest guys in music. Plus its a superbly made album by great music people, and even better musicians!
Dave I agree 100% Red Wanting Blue are a fantastic group of guys/musicians and “These Magnificent Miles” is a phenomenal example of their talent.
Lachi is an amazingly gifted singer-songwriter who has the potential to be massive. RWB is the very rare, incredible band that can make great studio recordings & still retain a great capacity to move people live w their lyrics & musical performances. eB is a killer neo-folkie who writes deeply spiritual tunes that inspire his musician-friends to dig deep in respect of the lyric & groove. I think all three are awesome, hard-working, & deserve to be celebrated.

I heard about EveryBoy’s album through a friend in the industry. Their music is so uplifting and raw with emotion, it blew me away. My vote goes to EB- they are one talented band!

Arthur, although I do see your point in the fact that 2 albums have a significant amount of votes, I seriously doubt the bands hired anyone to vote for them. These are mostly small, regional acts and most likely don’t have the excess funds to pay someone to sit and vote on what equates to a pretty meaningless poll. I am sure all these musicians are thrilled to be included in the poll, but could care less of what the outcome is because this poll in no way reflects the quality of their work.
However I did vote for Red Wanting Blue (once) so if any of those guys are read this, hit me up because I will take a check for whatever you are paying for my one vote…
Okay, I can believe that RedWantingBlue could have that type of following. But not EveryBoy. This poll is worse than a popularity contest, it’s an ‘either money or time’ contest. If it weren’t, the top two bands wouldn’t be so close for this long…and only go up in spurts every once in a while.

I just looked up EveryBoy and there music is pretty good- hard to compare it to Red Wanting Blue since they both have different musical stylings. Its like comparing Nirvana to Pearl Jam.. get it?

Lachi’s actually really good. You should check them out for real. Not too many really kickass chick fronted rock bands. I also like RWB’s production, very pro, they’ve got that late 90s car-music. The Shimmies are more radiohead-y which is not my thing, but I appreciate the talent. EveryBoy has some good riffs. I put it down for Lachi and RWB.

Wow! I think Lachi, RWB, the shimmies, & everyBoy are all great! I’m sure the other bands on this list are also amazing in their own way too. There is enough space in the world for each to be celebrated, isn’t there? Why do people need to put down others to make their favorites look better? Clearly some people like what everyBoy is doing. I think they’re awesome, authentic, & unique. Let’s root for our favorites without putting down others, huh? There’s enough hate in the world without bringing it into the joy that is good music.
