Matador Records has just released Seattle singer/songwriter Mike Hadreas’s debut full-length as Perfume Genius. Said album, Learning, is already gaining quite the reputation for having the ability to rip your heart out of your chest and stomp all over it, dealing with themes of Hadreas’s difficult life experiences involving abuse, addiction and suicide. The album’s title track, which you can download below, is just forlorn, layered vocals over a piano, but it’s sure to touch a nerve or two.
