There’s not a lot that separates the Bloodshot Gamblers from any other acts that are flooding rock radio. Inspired by the terrors of addiction and depression, new single “Before It Is Too Late,” off Pain & Other Simple Pleasures (Skope), features a pretty classic chorus not so reflective of the band’s bad-ass, whiskey-drinking cowboy image portrayed in promo pics. Listen to it, don’t like it, then find yourself humming the chorus for the rest of the night. Joke’s on you.
