The Wailing Wall (a.k.a. New York multi-instrumentalist Jessie Rifkin) has just released its second album, The Low Hanging Fruit (JDub). Rifkin incorporates his multicultural childhood into the Tim Fite-produced album with non-traditional instruments such as the sitar, singing saw and pipe organ. The Wailing Wall also chose to pay tribute to iconic singer/songwriter Tim Buckley by recording a cover of “Song To The Siren.” Rifkin recreates the intimacy that Buckley is known for through an incessant banjo melody and remarkably soothing vocals.
