Film At 11: Drive-By Truckers

Drive-By Truckers’ latest single, "This Fucking Job" (“Working This Job” is the clean version of the song), is a classic-rock ode to the recession-weary American. The video takes a scene right out of Waiting or Office Space: A haggard, disgruntled employee performing daily drudgery as his boss offers “constructive criticism,” while conniving voices drown out said boss’s Charlie Brown-style nagging. It probably strikes a chord with many who are frustrated with dead-end employment prospects, and it plays out the rebel fantasy all the way to the county jail.
