The creative pet project of Stuart McLamb, the Love Language is a happy go-lucky five-piece fond of jangly riffs and shimmering anthems steeped in Southern charm. With the release of its catchy self-titled debut in ’09, along with relentless touring, the Love Language has earned a faithful fanbase from coast to coast. McLamb and his gang of troubadours are a cross between shoegaze and indie folk, with a dash of lo-fi dazzle, often highlighted with tambourine. Set to unleash sophomore full-length Libraries (Merge) on July 13, the Love Language has managed to craft a collection of endearing and swoon-worthy songs, including the acoustically driven “Heart To Tell.” With its handclaps and percussive brilliance, you can only hope and pray that this perfect summer soundtrack will be accompanied by a tour. Until then, download “Heart To Tell” below.
