On April 13, Shrug Records will issue Holy Broken, the first release from Sin Ropas in five years. It was recorded by the duo—Tim Hurley (Red Red Meat, Califone) and Danni Iosello (Califone)—in a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, using lots of instruments MacGyvered from household objects, giving it a perfectly rough-around-the-edges sound. Premiering today exclusively on magnetmagazine.com is the debut single, “Fever You Fake.” It will have you nostalgic for early-‘90s alt rock with underwater background vocals and murky electric guitar.
