Childhood friends Matthew Campbell and Robert Hirschfeld comprise Common Loon, a new band from Illinois. Hidden Agenda Records will issue the duo’s debut album, The Long Dream Of Birds, on April 6, after which Common Loon will hit the road in support of the release on a U.S. tour throughout the spring and summer. Premiering today exclusively on magnetmagazine.com is “Mexico,” a perfect warm-weather jam that combines sunshine ’60s vocal harmonies over a hypnotic guitar riff.
