Garotas Suecas is a band comprised of five guys and a girl from São Paulo (despite the fact that its name means “Swedish Girls” in Portuguese), and they’re quickly gaining momentum after winning best music video on MTV Brazil last year and signing to U.S. label American Dust. The band just issued a new seven-inch single (with a full-length slated for release in the fall) and will tour the states for two and a half weeks, including performances at SXSW.
