The tour will feature special guests Stardeath And White Dwarfs and includes a performance of Dark Side Of The Moon at Bonnaroo. On April 17 (a.k.a. Record Store Day), their version of Dark Side Of The Moon (which features Stardeath And White Dwarfs, Henry Rollins and Peaches) will be available on limited-edition vinyl. The CD version will go on sale on May 4 … Also on Record Store Day, EMI will release limited-edition vinyl packages of John Lennon‘s John Lennon Singles Bag and the Sex Pistols‘s The Great Rock ‘N’ Roll Swindle … MAGNET guest editor Adam Green wrote the instrumental tracks that comprise Musik For A Play, the theatrical adaptation of Paul Auster’s novel Timbuktu. It will be available digitally and as a 500-copy limited-edition LP. Download “Gallop”Devendra Banhart and his band the Grogs will play a handful of shows this month in support of What Will We Be, released in October by Reprise Records. On March 25, Banhart will launch his official website, which will feature video clips, photos, original artwork and info about upcoming live performances … Go to Alec Ounsworth‘s website for a free download of a live performance of “Modern Girl” and to check out photos of his recent traveling adventures. The release will be supported by a headlining tour of Europe and performances at several U.S. festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork and Sasquatch … Belle And Sebastian is in the midst of recording its next album and will appear at several fests this summer: Finland’s Ruisrock Festival, Norway’s Slottsfiell Festival and Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival … On May 18, the Black Keys will release their sixth full-length, Brothers, via Nonesuch Records … GWAR will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the first annual Crack-A-Thon, a public fund-raising event. The kickoff party is on April 10 at the MF Gallery in Brooklyn and will be broadcast live on the web starting April 16 … Stone Temple Pilots are back after nearly 10 years with its sixth album. The band will be on tour this spring leading up to the May 25 release of the self-titled record … A Small Turn Of Human Kindness is the new album from Harvey Milk, which will be released May 18 on Hydra Head. The band is currently on a North American tour … The second annual Big Sur Hipnic will take place April 30-May 1 at Fernwood Resort, featuring performances by the Mother Hips (who curated the event), Jackie Greene, Little Wings, Dawes, Farmer Dave Scher, Neal Casal, and more … Tunng is holding a contest for whoever can remix “Hustle” (the first single from And Then We Saw Land) better than Bloc Party did. The winner will have its remix as the b-side to a forthcoming single and receive a bunch of free Tunng items … Best Of Bonnaroo is a compilation of 17 live performances from the festival by artists such as Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie, My Morning Jacket and Ani DiFranco.
