Riding the electro/dance/pop tsunami that is flooding the nation’s airwaves, thanks to outfits like Hot Chip, Owl City and Phoenix, Icelandic group FM Belfast has just released blippy, optimistic single “Par Avion,” off its new album, How To Make Friends (World Champion). While FM Belfast’s number fluctuates from three to eight members at any given show, the band’s chipper beats and quivering, monotone vocals remain consistent, singing of happy excursions to the Carribean in the summer.

I’d like to take all these stupid bands and their retro disco crap music and ship them to a distant desert island.
