As far as collections go do not forget the Emitt Rhodes ‘Recordings 1969-1973′!

Emmit Rhodes of “Glen Campbell Show” fame? My sister got all gaga over him and bought his first album. I eventually unceremoniously melted it on the picnic table in the hot July sun along with a copy of Lennon and Ono’s “Two Virgins”. I’d be rich if I still owned the latter!

Yes, that Emitt Rhodes. This is all subjective. It would be boring otherwise.

….no Neil Young Archieve, Vol. 1? I mean, you only have 5, would have hurt to put this on there – it really is great.

What a pathetic year for re-issues and colletions. The aritsts here are all gerat, but this is nearly *everything* that was re-issued or collected in 2009 worth tracking down. Not so long ago, I could make a list of 50 re-issues/comps/box sets which intrigued me. Gone, apparently, are the days when labels like Rhino Records would release a plethora of amazing box sets. This year we get two. Another sign of the death of the CD, I guess.
