Film At 11: Good Old War
Former members of Days Away and Unlikely Cowboy have united for sunny/hazy folk band Good Old War. The Philadelphia outfit sounds a bit like a countrified version of another outstanding Philly group, Dr. Dog. Here is Good Old War with new single "Maybe Mine." Featuring Pet Sounds harmonies, acoustic-guitar jangle, tambourine, beards and flannel, the video, directed by Behn Fannin, has the band summer jamming on a river bank spliced with the dating difficulties of a suicidal Claymation character. Good Old War hits both coasts in December in support of its debut full-length, Only Way To Be Alone (Sargent House).
