And that’s the purpose it serves, really, more than anything else.” So says ex-Drive By Trucker Jason Isbell of his music writing. Currently based in Muscle Shoals, Ala., Isbell and his 400 Unit is feeling country roots. Their smooth blend of country, blues and rock is sure to get your foot tapping. After releasing its self-titled second album earlier this year (on the Lightning Rod label), the band is currently touring the United States. Check ‘em out.
