Founded in 1977, the Scruffs (one of the most talked about unknown bands) are readying their self-released fifth release, Conquest. Stephen Burns and Co. are back, with help from past and current members of Big Star, Belle And Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub and the Proclaimers. Known for their power pop ballads, the Scruffs are recreating a blast-from-the-past, grungy pop sound that we miss so much. Check out “Treasure Girls,” from the upcoming Conquest, due out January 12.
