Film At 11: The Apples In Stereo

Robert Schneider and the Apples In Stereo are a cartoon-y band. They play wonderful, sugary, sunshine-glazed power pop better than anybody. In 2000, the group recorded a song for the Powerpuff Girls cartoon called "Signal In The Sky (Let's Go!)." Now they are lending their sonic sweetness to Yo Gabba Gabba!, an indie-rock-friendly Nick Jr. TV show. In the past, Yo Gabba Gabba! has featured a variety of bands and musicians ranging from Mark Mothersbaugh and the Shins to the Ting Tings and MGMT.
