Named after every white-collar worker’s worst enemy, San Francisco’s Papercuts play dreamy, moonlit tunes recorded on old analog devices. Frontman Jason Quever was raised in a commune in northern California, and the band has a sound that does not betray those roots. It just feels northern Californian. Papercuts will be on tour in November. Here they are with “You Can Have What You Want” (the title track of their latest album, on Gnomonsong), an airy, hazy tune you might hear floating in the morning fog of Big Sur.
