TiVo Party Tonight: Lyle Lovett, Fall Out Boy

tivolyle3764Ever wonder what will happen during the last five minutes of late-night TV talk shows? Here are tonight’s notable performers: The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien (NBC): Lyle Lovett Lovett sings with a conviction that makes other pop-country singers seem like they're faking it. Last year's It's Not Big, It's Large (Lost Highway) saw positive reviews, and Lovett and his Large Band are touring throughout the end of summer and fall on that wave. He'll be appearing on the Tonight Show, hopefully playing ballad "South Texas Girl." Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC): Fall Out Boy Last week, teeny-poppers Fall Out Boy have released a video for "What A Catch, Donnie," a song that brushes off that Pete Wentz guy (who realizes his name has become synonymous with douchebag) but sounds like it belongs on the Monster Ballads informerical. Fall Out Boy is on tour with Blink-182 through October.
