TiVo Party Tonight: Regina Spektor, Grizzly Bear, Phoenix

tivogrizzlycEver wonder what will happen during the last five minutes of late-night TV talk shows? Here are tonight’s notable performers:

The Late Show With David Letterman (CBS): Regina Spektor
New York’s anti-folk scenester Regina Spektor appears on Letterman promoting her latest, far. We bet she’ll do “Laughing With,” which has been enjoying oodles of airtime on satellite radio’s fake-college stations.

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC): Grizzly Bear
The Grizzly Bear-fest continues. Late-night TV is just the latest stop on Grizzly Bear’s express train. A tour with Radiohead (Jonny Greenwood has asserted GB is his favorite band), Veckatimest’s debut at number eight on the Billboard album chart and hints at its record-of-the-year potential even before its release have made these exciting times for the Brooklyn foursome. Fun Fact: Grizzly bears are the most agressive species of bear. Tune in and you’ll discover the irony.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC): Phoenix
Recently profiled in Cosmo (don’t ask us how we know that), this French-pop foursome is supporting Wolfgang Amadeus Phoneix. Watch for “Lisztomania,” a song that shares the name of that other movie starring Roger Daltrey.
