Much in the same way that Lois Lane couldn’t recognize Clark Kent as being a bespectacled Superman or how Bugs Bunny in a wig and lipstick always fooled Elmer Fudd, we’re blind to the possibility that Julian Plenti = Paul Banks from Interpol. Julian Plenti Is … Skyscraper is due August 4 on Matador. As previously reported, two of Banks’ Interpol bandmates are also up to other antics: Drummer Sam Fogarino plays in Magnetic Morning with Swervedriver’s Adam Franklin, while Carlos Dengler has produced/starred in a film.
